A fast-growing fintech firm in Electronic City, Bengaluru, was relocating to a massive 50,000 sq ft headquarters. Handling millions of transactions daily, their IT requirements were uncompromising: absolutely zero network downtime, strict ISO-grade data compliance, and hyper-secure physical access control.
Their previous agency had proposed a decentralized, unmanaged networking structure that posed a massive security risk and lacked failover redundancy. The client needed a master engineer to take over the drafting and implementation immediately.
The Engineering Diagnosis
- Lack of Redundancy: The proposed network had single points of failure. If one switch failed, a whole department would go offline.
- Unsecured Access: The physical entry points were not integrated with the corporate directory, meaning former employees or unauthorized personnel could easily tailgate into secure development zones.

I ripped up the prior blueprints and architected a rigorous, state-of-the-art enterprise setup:
- SD-WAN & Fortinet Firewalls: Deployed a dual-ISP SD-WAN configuration backed by enterprise Fortinet firewalls. This guarantees 99.99% uptime; if one fiber line drops, the firewall instantly rolls over to the secondary line without interrupting a single ongoing VoIP call or data transaction.
- Precision Server Room (Micro-DC): Architected a dedicated server room acting as a Micro Data Center. I integrated N+1 precision cooling, automated fire suppression gas systems, and modular racking to allow the company to scale seamlessly for the next 10 years.
- Biometric Flap Barriers: Installed sleek, high-throughput biometric flap barriers at the lobby entrance, directly synced to the Active Directory. This ensured flawless HR tracking and impenetrable physical security.
