Zero to 100: Remote Industrial IT & AirFiber in Ballari

The Challenge: Total Isolation
A heavy-manufacturing and mining corporation was expanding operations to a remote 100-acre site near Ballari. Standard city-bound tech agencies had refused the project. There was no underground fiber feasibility, rolling power blackouts, and significant security risks across the expansive perimeter.
The client required a world-class enterprise network deployment to sync real-time ERP data with their Bengaluru headquarters, alongside impenetrable perimeter security.
The Solution: Topography & Tech Mastery
Drawing on 26 years of field experience, I engineered a highly resilient, completely un-tethered infrastructure:
- 20km Point-to-Point (PtP) AirFiber: I bypassed the lack of local ISPs by designing a high-capacity microwave RF link, beaming enterprise-grade internet from the nearest city hub directly to a newly erected communication mast on the industrial site with 99.9% uptime.
- Off-Grid Surveillance Grid: Installed a network of solar-powered CCTV towers equipped with 4G/LTE cellular backhaul and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras monitoring the weighing bridges.
- Micro Data Center Edge Architecture: Built a ruggedized, dust-proof server room on-site. I employed precision fiber optic splicing to connect the administrative blocks to the heavy-machinery manufacturing floors, ensuring the network was completely isolated from heavy electrical interference.
The Result: Seamless Enterprise Scale
The site went from an isolated, disconnected plot of barren land to a fully digitized, secure node in the corporation's global network. By mentoring and orchestrating local fabricators for the tower masts and specialized fiber technicians, I delivered the project rigorously on-budget without bloated agency markups. Today, management in Bengaluru monitors live 4K feeds and ERP data from Ballari seamlessly, proving that terrain is never a barrier to world-class engineering.
